VENUE Magazine: Singer-songwriter Yisel takes Miami Beach October 6th

Yisel’s sold out show is another testimony of her power to pull in the crowds.

Her show, “Life is a Song” will be presented by the multidisciplinary non- profit organization FUNDarte. It will also serve as a platform for the pre-release of her new album “Life Is…” which will be officially out in the networks on October 6th 2014.

Yisel proposes an unconventional staging!

A fusion of all kinds of art disciplines come together in a concert to remember…

“I want to invite the audience to an “art venue” as a trans-cultural, social space. I want them to sit back and enjoy a fusion of disciplines that cater to a story being told musically, with projections of unearth visual formats, a quirky set design, spoken prose and improvised motions.” Y.D.

Singer-Songwriter Yisel’s on-stage performance is an explosion of raw intimacy with very personalized melodies that float over a smooth yet energy-driven

soundtrack where Chill-out Lounge, R & B and vestiges of World Music come together to form her own very unique concept of artistry and creativity. She has a rare labyrinth of soothing, intimate, and delicate cadence in her voice that simply grabs you and brings chills up your spine; and at the same time you’ll feel that she is whispering her sundry and powerful voice in your ear.

Yisel invites you to seat for a ride of Song, a Song of Life… surrendering to the edgy yet delicate sounds influenced by the musical worlds of Brazil’s Jobim, England’s Beatles, Cuba’s José Antonio Mendez, the classical music of Yo-Yo Ma, Alternative Rock’s Coldplay and Jazz great Ella Fitzgerald.

Yisel has participated in many record productions and has collaborated with a diversity of musicians including the likes of Carole King, Lila Downs, Gloria Estefan, Natalie Cole, Alejandro Sanz, Shakira, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Prince Royce, Chayanne to name a few.
